Teenager injured in crash

A TEENAGER has been airlifted to hospital following a car crash in Kislingbury on Saturday.

A Volkswagen Lupo travelling from Gayton towards Kislingbury was in collision with a Volkswagen Touran car at the junction with Banbury Lane in the village at 1.45pm on Saturday.

The Lupo was crossing the junction when it was in collision with the Touran, which was travelling from Rothersthorpe towards Pattishall.

The driver of the Lupo - a 17-year-old boy from Harpole - was airlifted to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with serious injuries.

Three passengers - all 17-year-old boys from Harpole, Gayton and Weedon - were taken to Northampton General Hospital from treatment.

The driver and passengers in the Touran were treated at the scene by the ambulance service but did not require hospital treatment.
