Pupils at the Danetre and Southbrook Learning Village picked up the GCSE results this morning.
The school maintained the same number of A* to C grades as were achieved last year.
DSLV saw 53 per cent of its students gain A* to Cs, slightly below last year’s national average of 58 per cent.
Headteacher David Howell said: “These results are really good news. They are exactly the same as they were last year which is great when you compare that to results nationally.
“We have had our best ever performance in maths with 65 per cent gaining A* to Cs and a strong performance in science, which is great because these are key subjects.”
The school saw its best ever results in music and art with 93 per cent and 81 per cent of students gaining A* to C respectively.
Mr Howell said: “When you think just five or six years ago the results were around the 40 per cent mark this is great for the school and for the town. I am very proud of the pupils and the staff - Ofsted said just before summer that this is a improving school and the journey for us hasn’t finished yet.”
