Pupils from Welton Academy at Waitrose in Daventry

Pupils from the Welton Academy went along to Waitrose in Daventry to pick up their Seed and Grow kits, provided by the John Lewis Partnership.

The kits are designed to raise awareness of fruit and vegetables for children aged seven to 11.

Included within the kits are basil, beetroot, courgettes, two varieties of lettuce, snap pea and wild flower mix seeds.

Once they have grown, the pupils have the opportunity to sell the produce and raise funds for their school.
