Old socks, well washed thankfully, were the order of the day at Long Buckby Library on Saturday.

The appeal went out for worn socks to mark Love Your Library Day.

The washed socks were then used to create a giant book worm to decorate the library. There was also fun and games for children, including the chance to name the worm and facepainting.

For adults there was a coffee morning and a sale of DVDs.

On Tuesday, February 18, from 11am to noon, the library is hosting a Make A Model Dalek craft session for anyone over the age of eight. Places can be booked at the library, in Station Road, Long Buckby.
