Rugby star tackles important job for pupils
A SPECIAL sporting star was on hand at Brington Primary School for an important job.
Dominic Waldouck, who plays the centre for the top-flight rugby team Northampton Saints, visited the school on Wednesday last week to officially open the new-look reception area.
The original entrance for the school has been refurbished and a new toilet block installed.
The school’s executive headteacher Jan Abrams said: “This was one of the first things that I wanted to refurbish when I arrived here two years ago.
“It took a long time because we had to get permission as the school is a listed building.
“We also have a new refurbished toilet in the key stage 2 part of the school. It was the one thing the children said they didn’t like about the school.”
She also praised Mr Waldouck for his role in the opening.
Mrs Abrams added: “The children were really excited to see him, he was one of the last people to leave and was happy to answer any questions the children had.”
