FRUSTRATED residents on the Headlands estate in Daventry are tired of large vehicles damaging their grass verges and pathways.

Complaints have been made to the Daventry Express and Northamptonshire county Cllr Chris Long about HGV vehicles, used to supply the shops on the estate, tearing up grassy areas on the verges outside residents’ houses when trying to deliver goods.

Toni Peake, 23, of Highfield Road said: “For us it is a nightmare. We have three cars and are often blocked in in the mornings by HGV lorries which makes us late for work. In the past our cars have been scratched by vehicles passing and they once took a wing mirror off.”
