Zoe Roughton opened Braunston School’s summer fete after fellow pupils voted her to be their Rose Queen.
The girls in Year 6 who wanted to become Rose Queen visited all classes in the school and gave speeches as to why they should receive the honour. Polly Toseland and Charlotte Morris became her attendants.
As part of the celebrations, every class in the school created a dance based on the theme of Brazil.
Headteacher Sue Rigby said: “The children were absolutely brilliant and danced their hearts out in rainy conditions. I would like to say a big well done to all of the children and staff, and to thank parents and adults who watched in the rain.”
