Police warning following scam

OFFICERS have put out a warning after a woman from Daventry received two phone calls purporting to be from Northamptonshire Police.

She was thanked for her support of crime prevention measures. The lady was then asked to place a sticker in her window and this was followed by a further phone call which said this would cost £150.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said the force never endorse such activity and would like people to be aware of this scam.

Anyone with information or who gets suspicious phone calls of this nature are asked to call 101.
