Police have been out and about along the A5 over the past week putting up signs to encourage road safety.
Officers have been fixing the signs to lampposts along the trunk road which runs right through the Daventry district.
They have been designed to warn motorists to think about motorcyclists and be wary of them on the road.
A police spokesman has said the reason the A5 was targeted is because the road is popular with the motorbike community.
Northamptonshire Police, in a further initiative to boost safety among motorcyclists, have also organised a series of BikeSafe workshops which are being run by experienced officers from the force.
These are designed to reduce casualties among bikers by passing on tips and knowledge and to give an insight into safer, smoother riding as well as a heightened awareness of possible hazards
