Two men are being sought after a police car was set alight in Daventry on Sunday night.
Officers were called at 11.40pm on Sunday, after a police car was set alight in Westerburg Square, on Stefen Hill, Daventry, sometime after 11.20pm.
The fire service attended and put the fire out. Northamptonshire Police say the car has now been recovered and will be examined as part of the investigation into the fire.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen two men acting suspiciously in the Westerburg Square area of Daventry on Sunday night.
The first man was white, in his mid-40s, of muscular/large build, around 6ft, with dark medium length hair and looked unkempt. He spoke with a local accent and wore a light blue, round necked jogging top and blue jogging bottoms.
The second man was also white, in his mid-40s, 5ft 9ins, with thinning black hair, rotting teeth and also looked unkempt. He was also wearing a jogging top and bottoms.
