Plans for 55 new homes in Woodford Halse have been thrown out after a meeting last night (Thursday).
The planning committee of Daventry District Council decided by 7-1 to refuse the application for the homes on Farndon Road.
Councillors refused the application due to the scale of the site and that it was located beyond the existing confines of the village.
The application has caused plenty of controversy in the village with the parish council, nearby villages and residents objecting to the plans.
