Plans for up to 40 new homes in Kilsby will be decided at a meeting this week.
The application will be determined by the planning committee of Daventry District Council on Wednesday.
The homes, proposed for land off Daventry Road, have been recommended for approval by planning officers.
The application had been previously heard in June but a decision was made to defer any decision to allow for an independent traffic survey to look at a proposed junction onto the A361.
The report, written by Wellingborough based firm BCAL Consulting, said: “I consider that it would be extremely difficult to argue that the proposed junction did not meet the requirements of safety for pedestrians crossing the A361.”
The plans have caused outrage in the village with a number of residents and parish council objecting to the application. The residents have even formed an action group (pictured) to fight the proposal for homes in the village.
The planning meeting will be held at 6.15pm at the council offices in Lodge Road.
