Children were able to meet a real-life Peter Rabbit and take part in a variety of Beatrix Potter-themed activities at Daventry Library on Monday.

The rabbit, Lemony, the pet of customer advisor Bryony Magee will be back again on Friday August 15 from 2pm to 5pm. The event is one of a series of children’s activities and competitions that the library is running throughout the summer. On Monday August 18 the author Anthony Ravenwood will be hosting a storytelling session, and on Tuesday August 26 there will be the chance for children to see and stroke birds of prey when Owls to Behold visits the library. “All events are free and suitable for all ages,” said Miss Magee, who is pictured above with six-year-old Phoebe Pople.
