Olympian effort leads to success for girls

SCORES of Rainbows, Brownies and Guides took part in an Olympic- themed day in Daventry on Saturday.

The Girlguiding Daventry Districts Olympic Day (Davlympics) saw around 150 youngsters and senior section members and leaders, attend the Scout hut off Northern Way in Daventry.

The day started and ended with special ceremonies. In the morning the girls enjoyed arts, crafts, food activities, and games towards earning an Olympic badge.

In the afternoon they took part in traditional water and team sports.
