YOUNG volunteers have formed a new group in a bid to stamp out bullying in their community.

The eight 14-18 year-olds have set up an anti-bullying forum with the help of the Phoenix Youth Centre to address bullying in its many forms and provide a safe space for victims to speak out.

The forum is young person led, with anti-bullying projects designed by them and supported by senior members of the youth centre.

So far the group have had two meetings in which they have discussed ways to tackle bullying and have voted the chair and secretary of their group.
