New business group for busy mums

Two woman are starting a business group especially for busy mums like themselves.

Mumpreneurs Kirsty Walker and Billie-Jan Hills were inspired to create a new networking group in Daventry following the launch of their new business Khameleon Kompany.

Both with children under 5, Kirsty and Billie set about launching their company in September last year and have met many women trying to balance work and families and have been inspired by their stories.

This brought about the birth of CorePOD Women in business network specifically designed to support and create opportunities for women with their own small businesses. The ladies plan on facilitating such support with learned guest speakers who will speak on subjects of paramount importance to new and small businesses such as social media, website design, tax returns, business planning and work/life balance.

Billie-Jan Hills says: “The benefits of joining a networking group are substantial. You raise your profile, increase your customer reach and gain moral support from like-minded individuals.”

Kirsty Walker adds: “There are already quite a few networking groups in Daventry, but we have found as a small business the registration fee and monthly subscription is unreachable for a business like ours, with a smaller budget. We hope our £10 per business per month is affordable for all businesses. We have also considered that the sessions need to be at a more family friendly time..”

The first meeting is February 27 at The Abbey in the town centre starting at 7.30pm.

If you are interested in joining the network group or have any enquiries, please email corepod@khameleonkompany.co.uk or find Khameleon Kompany on facebook.
