A fantastic £400 was raised for the campaign at a Valentine’s dinner

The event was organised by members of Daventry Methodist Church which holds such a dinner each year.

One of the organisers, Margaret Geldart, said: “We had 27 people come along for a three-course meal that two of us did all the cooking for.”

In a bid to raise further funds for The Jago Worrall Foundation, the Daventry Express will be hosting a quiz night on Friday March 8 at Daventry Leisure Centre in Lodge Road. Among the prizes that can be won at the event include a family ticket to Legoland and bowling for a family of four at Hellidon Lakes.

There will also be a raffle where prizes including a fitness membership for a year at Daventry Leisure Centre worth £500. A huge thank you to all of the businesses and individuals who have donated prizes or money towards the campaign.
