ADVICE and support from a free sight loss service came to Daventry last week.
The mobile sight centre stopped off at Shopmobility in New Steet where a specialist information officer, Fred Cannon, gave out information and advice on a wide range of topics relating to sight loss.
The mobile centre has been visiting Daventry for five years and comes to the town every two months with equipment and aids on board to make life easier for those suffering sight loss.
Large print books, diaries and calendars are on board.
Kitchen gadgets and big buttoned telephones and mobile phones are also available as useful examples for those worried about their sight or wanting to test out new equipment to help them in day-to-day life.
The sight centre will visit Daventry again on March 20 at Shopmobility.
