CHILDREN were able to enjoy some craft activities in a church at the weekend.

St Peter and St Paul’s Church in Weedon hosted the Messy Church event on Saturday which saw 40 youngsters attend. It was the first one of the year and the was hailed as a success.

One of the organisers, Roberta Wooldridge, said: “It was really successful and we had a lot of children stay for lunch, which is something new we are trialling. It was a really good event.”

The next event will be on Saturday February 9.
