A new martial arts centre is opening its doors in Daventry following the major refurbishment of an industrial unit.

G Force Martial Arts based on Alvis Way on the Royal Oak Industrial Estate will be hosting the fun-packed day for adults and children alike with entertainment from various artists and some exciting workshops to help gain more confidence and motivation.

The centre’s open day runs all day on Saturday, March 23.

The refurbishment has cost around £6,000 and a former industrial unit has been transformed internally.

Owner Gordon Burcham said: “There was nothing like it in the town before, and we thought it was crying out for something like this.”

Guests joining the grand opening on Saturday include The Bruce Sistaz who were semi-finalists on the ITV series Britain’s Got Talent in 2011.

Mr Burcham said: “What a great day this will be, we have some exciting special guests including the Bruce Sistaz from the renowned TV show Britain’s Got Talent where they will be performing some kicks and tricks on centre stage at noon.

“Make sure you can come and see howyou could benefit from Martial Arts because it’s not just about fighting.”

The fun day will also be attended by the grand master Danny Guba from Guba Doce Pares International Filipino Martial Arts.
He will be demonstrating his expertise and holding a workshop in knife protection and sticks.
