Man seriously injured in motorbike crash

POLICE are appealing for information after a serious motorcycle crash near Daventry.

A motorcyclist was travelling along Stockwell Lane near Catesby at around 6.30pm on Wednesday May 30 with three other bikers when police say for unknown reasons the male rider lost control of his Yamaha R6 and crashed into trees.

The male rider from Rugby was airlifted to Walsgrave Hospital with serious injuries. He is now in a stable condition.

Anyone with information or who witnessed this incident is asked to call the ‘Drivewatch Hotline’ on 0800 174615 or send an SMS text to our ‘TextLine’ on 07765 637201.

Witnesses to this incident, or anyone with information, should call Northamptonshire Police on 101 - alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
