A man has sustained serious leg injuries after a road traffic collision on the M1 yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.
The 34-year-old man was riding a black and silver Keeway RKS 125 motorcycle on the M1 southbound between junctions 16 and 15a, when he was in collision with the central reservation at about 3.45pm.
The man was taken to University Hospital Coventry by air ambulance for treatment.
Both the south and northbound carriageways were closed between 15a and 16 immediately after the collision, with the northbound opening at 4.45pm once the air ambulance had left the scene. The southbound carriageway reopened at about 5.45pm.
