Major expansion for Brixworth Village Dental Practice

Brixworth Village Dental Practice is planning a major expansion of its practice.

The private practice on Spratton Road is moving into a bigger building next door to its current surgery in early June.

The move, which will give the practice three times more space, will mean for the first time it will be able to offer a full dental implant service in Brixworth. It will also be able to expand the orthodontic service it provides, as well as the range of facial aesthetic treatments it can offer in-house.

In addition, the expanded practice will have the space to invite other health practitioners to offer regular clinics, giving patients and people in the area access to a wider range of services locally.

The practice has already arranged for Caroline Strawson, of Northampton Footcare Services, to give weekly clinics. Caroline, a podiatrist/chiropodist with more than 20 years’ experience, will also be offering reflexology sessions from Brixworth House.

The practice is hoping to bring in more professionals from other disciplines to offer a range of healthcare services under the same roof.

The new practice building, to be called Brixworth House, will include three surgeries, a larger reception area, dedicated room for patient consultations, and separate decontamination suite.

Dr Tom Donnelly, clinical director at the practice, said: “The whole team is so excited about our expansion and what it will mean we can offer our patients, not only in terms of more treatments, but also the overall patient experience. The extra space will make such a difference to the way we work, and the new surgeries are being custom-designed and built to ensure they meet our needs as well as dental best-practice recommendations.”

Helen Hutchings, co-owner of the business since 2012, added: “This is a great opportunity for our practice to grow. The fantastic team we have at the practice are all dedicated to helping people achieve a smile they are proud and confident of, and this expansion will help them develop and improve the services to do this.

“We are also really looking forward to being able to bring in other disciplines to Brixworth House to give people in the village and surrounding area local and easy access to other healthcare services.”

The practice, which last year was named as a finalist in the best team category at the 2013 Private Dentistry Awards, encourages any potential patients to come in to meet the team and have a look round the practice.

Some of its services, including orthodontic treatments and hygienist appointments, are also open to people not registered as patients, and the practice also offers a free smile makeover consultation to anyone who would like to find out what could be done to help them achieve the smile they desire.

The practice is also offering a new quicker and easier way for people to find out how its dental team could improve their smile. People just need to send a picture of their smile to enquiries@bvdental.co.uk with a message saying what they don’t like about it and what they would like to change, and the practice’s expert team will take a careful look and make their suggestions on what could be done.
