A WOMAN from Long Buckby was the lucky winner of a £1,000 specially comissioned painting.
Jane Formstone won from the 1,000 people who entered a competition held as part of the Love Art exhibition which took place at The Centre: MK in October this year.
Her prize was a piece painted by Adam Barsby, a well-respected landscape artist.
Mrs Formstone said: “When I got the email, I just couldn’t believe it. I had to get in touch with the organisers and ask if this was for real.
“I was chuffed to bits and I liked his work when it was on at the exhibition.
“The best thing was speaking to Adam. He is such a lovely, down to earth guy and a great painter.
“The picture now has pride of place in my lounge.”
