A new bar in Daventry, the first of which to be serving tapas in the town, is launching a wide range of entertainment throughout the year.
Chasers in New Street will be launching their food including the speciality Spanish dishes and luxury coffees on Monday.
This will be in addition to a variety of music, comedy and dance nights which are currently planned for the venue.
Bosses at the bar have said they are attempting to offer something different to the town.
Manager Steve McGeachey said: “The first entertainment night we had is the Michael Buble night, and we will be looking at having live music in the bar upstairs on a regular basis.
“We will also be looking at doing comedy nights, and special music. I am already planning an Ibiza/Hed Kandi style music night which is something for the younger people in the town.
“We want to offer something different. If you want something outside of the norm, people will have to travel to Rugby and Northampton which means that someone has to drive which is not a lot of fun.
“When we have run all of the various events we have got planned for the year, we will have a little look back at what has worked well, what hasn’t worked so well and decide from there what we will be producing.
The venue, which has been closed for the last three years, reopened a few weeks ago.
Steve said: “We have tried to keep the bar downstairs fairly traditional and close to what was in before, although we have obviously put new things in.
“Upstairs, we have created the booths, a dance floor and new light and sound systems.
“We just hope that by offering lots of different things, we can give the bar a bit of a boost.”
He is hoping that when the weather gets better in the summer time the bar’s potential will really come to fruition.
Steve added: “In the summer, we have an outside area where people can sit out in the beer garden and enjoy themselves. It should really make the difference.”
He is also hoping the menu will make the bar stand out from the others.
Steve McGeachey said: “When we were setting up we looked at what was different that we could offer in the town.
“Tapas is something that is not offered in the town and is really good for us. It will enable the chef to be very creative and it is nice for people to try while they are watching the football.
“We will still be offering things like wraps, paninis and burgers alongside the coffees.
“The coffees is something different as well. We are going to be doing luxury coffees to drink in and take away.
