Lighting up the skies

THE night skies of Daventry will be lit up for two evenings packed with free cultural entertainment.

The town's first Light Night takes place on Friday, March 26 and Saturday, March 27 with the highlight being an outdoor interactive light show in Market Square.

A stage in High Street and Sheaf Street will have live music from 6pm, and there will be light trails, fire juggling and street performers.

Daventry Town Council Museum will be open late to visitors, and the whole event will conclude with a light display in Market Square on the Saturday at 10.45pm.

The Light Night is being organised by the Daventry Town Centre Partnership, based on the concept of Nuit Blanche run in Paris, with the idea of turning the town centre into an open space celebrating Daventry and its culture.
