OLYMPIC fever reached the town with a London 2012 themed arts and crafts session at Daventry Leisure Centre.

The event was part of the centre’s Wicked Wednesdays summer holiday fun.

Community project officer Katie Arnold said: “We had a t-shirt design table and some children made bunting and paper chains.

“We also had a make your own Olympic medals and torch tables and one of the most popular things was the biscuit decorating table.

“We also had giant games including snakes and ladders and Connect Four and Wii Games. It was all great fun.”

Next week (August 8) there will be a bouncy castle day from 10am.
