Julian Twocock will be taking on the challenge in order to raise funds for the charity Bloodwise (formerly Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research).

He said: “I am supporting this charity because a friend of mine has leukaemia.”

Julian will be cycling the journey of over 1,000 miles in June 2016.

As part of his fundraising efforts to help beat blood cancer he will also be running a stall on Saturday, May 21 in Bowen Square, Daventry.

Among the attractions on the stall will be a tombola and there will also be cakes, books and other items for sale.

Mr Twocock said: “Friends and colleagues have been really supportive and helpful. I couldn’t have done this without them.”

This will be his fourth year of fundraising for the charity, which has previously included cycling from London to Paris.

If you would like to make a cake for the stall, Julian can be reached by calling 01327 302830 between 9am-5pm from Monday to Friday.
