Join in the Wassail at Daventry Country Park

THE traditional event to wake up the trees from their winter sleep will take place at Daventry Country Park on Saturday, January 5.

The Wassail will see the countryside rangers and members of the public process with music to the orchard, where they will use noise, music, and food and drink to wake the trees for spring.

There will also be a bonfire and hot mulled apple juice provided by the Friends of Daventry Country Park.

To join in head along to the park’s visitors’ centre for 12.30pm on Saturday January 5.

Take along any music instruments or pots and pans to bang.
