Jobcentre set to move into new home

DAVENTRY’s Jobcentre Plus will move into Daventry District Council’s (DDC) offices later this year.

Jobcentre Plus is set to relocate from its existing offices in Oxford Street to the ground floor of the council offices in Lodge Road in the autumn.

DDC leader Cllr Chris Millar said: “It’s great that we are finally able to reveal details about this move.

“The move makes sense for both parties and will bring many benefits to our residents, who will now be able to access similar services all under one roof.

Steve Roome, Jobcentre Plus district manager for Leicestershire and Northamptonshire, said: “Sharing premises with the local authority and partners provides a great opportunity for a more joined up and comprehensive service for the local community.”
