A survey to see how Daventry District Council (DDC) uses ‘plain English’ in its communications with residents aims to find out how clear and easy it is.
A task panel of councillors scrutinising DDC’s formal correspondence with residents is encouraging people to give their views to discover where improvements can be made.
The survey is now available for Daventry district residents to complete at www.daventrydc.gov.uk/consultation, people can also complete a survey in the Council’s reception in Lodge Road.
The results will be considered by the Task Panel as it outlines its recommendations to Council.
Chairman of the Task Panel cllr Wendy Randall said: “Clear communication with residents in the district is of vital importance and this scrutiny review is about ensuring that our correspondence with people is clear and easy to understand.
“A survey asking what people think about our formal correspondence is available for people to complete online or in the Council’s reception and I would encourage as many people possible district-wide to have their say.”
