Hundreds turn out to Daventry store for midnight launch of new game

AROUND 300 COD fans went to the Blockbuster midnight launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 in the early hours of Tuesday, November 13.

Some fans came in fancy dress to get their hands on the new game which sold 10,000 copies nationally in the fist five minutes.

Comercial director of Blockbuster Uk Gerry Butler said on Tuesday: “It was fantastic to see so many people turn out to the 450 store last night and our staff really got into the spirit of Call of Duty.

“At the Daventry store we had only 300 customers alone and we could not have served all of our customers so quickly had it not been for our dedicated staff so a big thank you to them for working so hard on the biggest night in gaming.

“We anticipate that our stores will continue to serve hundreds of COD fans today as the rush continues to get the game in the record breaking franchise.”
