A social housing provider based in Daventry has received an award recognising its commitment to developing and listening to, its staff.
Daventry and District Housing’s (DDH) 73-strong team of staff were on hand to celebrate after the organisation was awarded the Investors in People Silver Standard.
The silver standard is a level of recognition received by fewer than 600 organisations across the whole of the UK every year.
The award recognises how DDH, part of the Futures Housing Group, has transformed its business through the efforts, support and motivation of its employees.
DDH, based on the Drayton Fields industrial estate in town, was created in 2007 when Daventry District Council sold off its remaining council house stock to create the new company.
Hayley Davies, executive director of DDH, said: “Ensuring staff members feel positive about their work within the organisation is a key priority to us.
“We want colleagues to achieve personal growth, develop their careers with us and ultimately deliver better services.
“We are delighted to receive this prestigious endorsement of the investment we have made in our team.”
Testing organisations against 10 indicators, Investors in People, considers how employers work with, lead, reward, recognise and develop their staff.
The company met 155 of the 177 evidence requirements. It missed out on the Investors in People Gold Award by just 10 points.
Group chief executive, Lindsey Williams, added: “This is a real endorsement of the great commitment displayed by team members across the group.
“Everyone at Futures works hard to make a positive difference to people’s lives, and I’d like to say a big ‘thank you’ and ‘well done’ to all.”
