Grant boost for cinema club

THE Braunston Cinema Club will soon screen films using their own projection equipment – thanks to a £2,000 grant from the Northamptonshire Community Foundation.

The 50 member strong club shows a film every month in Braunston Village Hall and until now has had to borrow projection equipment from the Big Country Rural Cinema Network in  Northampton.

Club member Abigail Campbell said: “We’re delighted with the grant from NCF. Film is a great way of bringing people together, and to be able to do so in your own village makes the whole experience even better.”

Their next showing is ‘The Artist’ on September 29.

All begin at 7.30pm and are shown with homemade themed food.
