Specsavers in Daventry has teamed up with the Gusher for its second Photographic Competition.
With a Pentax camera each for the two winning photographers, you could soon be looking at Daventry life through your very own professional lens.
Entrants are asked to capture the essence of Daventry or the surrounding area – whether it’s the sun shining in Daventry Country Park or capturing the local hustle and bustle in the market. And, with the Easter holidays around the corner, it could be the perfect time to get out and about.
There are two age categories; under 16 years old and 16 years old and over.
The junior winner will receive a Pentax Optio WG3 camera worth £240, while the senior winner will receive a Pentax K500 with 18-55mm DAL lens worth £450.
Steve Richardson, store director at Specsavers in Daventry said: “The photographs should show how people see Daventry and what it means to them.
“We have included a junior category this year and hope that this will be an opportunity to showcase some budding young photographers too.”
Starting this week, and for the next five weeks, the Daventry Express will print a selection of your entries until the closing date of Monday, April 28 when judges, Amanda Chalmers, deputy editor of the Daventry Express, and Specsavers store director Steve Richardson will select the winner.
