PEOPLE are being urged to pedal for pounds in a bid to support a local charity.

Daventry Leisure Centre is hosting an eight group cycling marathon taking place on Saturday, January 26 to raise the funds for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA).

The event will start at 9am and finish at 5pm.

Anyone looking to join in the bike ride can do so for an hour at a cost of £5 per house wit these funds going to the WNAA.

People taking part can also choose to seek their own individual sponsorship for the event.

Throughout the eight hours, eight different instructors from the leisure centre will be leading the marathon and encouraging the riders. There will also be different themes using music and fancy dress.

For further information about the event or to take part in the fundraiser, call 01327 871144 or visit the leisure centre in Lodge Road, Daventry.
