A crew of local RNLI volunteers collected in the town centre on Friday and Saturday for the flag day.
In all the army of collectors receiving donations totalling £1,421.49.
Jeff Sutherland-Kay, chairman of the RNLI’s Northampton branch, said: “We hold collections in Daventry only once or twice a year but we always get great support from Daventry people. It was a terrific result.”
The Evergreen Art Café in Sheaf Street hosted the RNLI headquarters for the flag collection.
Mr Sutherland-Kay continued: “Simon Williams and the staff at the Evergreen were fantastic, allowing part of the gallery to be used as a counting house and keeping us supplied with coffee.
“I can’t thank them enough for their help.”
The RNLI is funded by voluntary contributions.
