DAVENTRY’S New Street public toilets have earned a gold rating in the ‘Loo of the Year’ awards – proving that last year’s award was no flash in the pan.

The toilets received the award the second year running for providing some of the best facilities for staff, customers and visitors.

Cleaning staff at the toilets have also been presented with an ‘Attendant of the Year’ award for providing a ‘high level of commitment’.

Every entry received an unannounced visit from a Loo of the Year Awards Inspector and were assessed against 100 different criteria.
