Around 40 villagers attended a meeting last night (Monday) where Flore Parish Council objected to plans for 77 new homes.
Planning permission has been sought by Landmark Planning for the homes on the High Street and Brington Road in the village.
Residents raised points about problems with a lack of school places, over development of the site, a lack of access and drainage issues.
All of the councillors objected to the plans and this will be presented to Daventry District Council when the planning application will be determined.
Villagers objecting to the plans were also encouraged to write letters if they were against the proposed application.
