Fires on Borough Hill and High March, Daventry

THE fire service were called out to deal with two fires in Daventry on Tuesday night.

At around 5.30pm they were called to Borough Hill to two large trees on fire.

They put the fires out by 6.30pm but the fire service returned overnight to check for hot spots, and are expecting to return today as well.

Later that same night, at just before 1am, they were called to High March after a burger van caught fire.

The vehicle was left severely damaged by the fire, which is believed to have started accidentally. The fire service left the scene at 2.15am.
