Hundreds of people attended the traditional Long Buckby Feast celebrations on Bank Holiday Monday.
The event was part of a series activities held over a number of days and even the wet weather couldn’t stop the joy as visitors enjoyed activities including a wide range of stalls, games and a raffle.
The highlight of the festival was the parade of ‘Feas Pudn’, a local delicacy made with a wide range of spices and fruit.
In addition to the feast there was a dog show and craft fair held on Sunday, August 17, a quiz night on Wednesday, August 20 and a produce and craft show held on the Saturday of the Bank Holiday Weekend.
The Feast Week activities continue with a duck race at Mill Park Reserve tomorrow (Friday) and on Saturday there will be a concert from the Elation Voices Choir at Baptist Church, Market Place from 2pm-4pm.
A final total from the feast has yet to be revealed but the money raised will be donated to a number of good causes in the area. For further details, see www.buckbyfeast.org.uk.
