Fears over future of Blockbsuter in Daventry

THERE are fears over the future of Blockbuster in Daventry as the DVD rental firm entered administration.

The Daventry store in Bowen Square is one of 528 stores across the country employing more than 4,000 staff.

Deloitte, the accountancy firm which will now take over the day-to-day running of the firm, said Blockbuster had been affected by competition from internet-based film services.

The stores will keep trading while the administrators try to find a buyer.
