Fatal crash on Boxing Day

A MAN died in a crash in a village near Daventry on Boxing Day.

The crash happened on Holdenby Road, Church Brampton, at around 10.15am on Wednesday, December 26.

The collision involved a single vehicle, a silver Ford Mondeo, which was travelling from Holdenby towards Church Brampton.

For reasons yet unknown, the vehicle left the road and was hit a tree.

The car was being driven by a 49-year-old man from Daventry and contained three passengers, all men, aged, 31, 33 and 36.

The 33-year-old man, from Enfield, died as a result of the collision.

Officers in the Collision Investigation Team would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have any information regarding it.
