Family threatened with gun while out fishing

A MAN has been jailed for seven years after threatening a family with a shotgun while they were out fishing,

Narrow boat owner Mark Petty, 41, became involved in an argument with a grandfather, who was fishing with his sons and two granddaughters, aged seven and nine.

The family were on the banks of the Grand Union Canal in Weedon on September 18 last year.
