The Parker E-Act Academy has been described by Ofsted inspectors as requiring ‘special measures’.

The secondary school, in Ashby Road, was inspected in January with the report being released this week.

The report states: “Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector is of the opinion that this school requires special measures because it is failing to give its pupils an acceptable standard of education and the persons responsible for leading, managing or governing the school are not demonstrating the capacity to secure the necessary improvement in the school.”

It grades as ‘inadequate’ the achievement of pupils, the quality of teaching, and leadership and management. The behaviour and safety of pupils is described as ‘requires improvement’.

Overall the school is graded as ‘inadequate’.

For more on this including full reaction from the school, see this week’s Daventry Express.
