A Daventry man will be taking on a gruelling challenge to raise funds in memory of his late mother.
Ian Wood, who lives on Morning Star Road on the Timken estate, is riding more than 1,800 miles on his 35-year-old Ducati motorcycle.
He sets off from Jack’s Hill Cafe in Towcester on Thursday, April 17 up to John O’Groats in Scotland. He then travels down to Land’s End before returning back up to Jack’s Hill Cafe. It is a journey which will see him cover more than 300 miles a day - and hopes to achieve within six days. Mr Wood is hoping to raise £5,000.
Anyone who is looking to sponsor Mr Wood on his journey can do so by visiting www.justgiving.com/END2ENDX2ducatichallenge.
