Date revealed for new homes meeting

A PUBLIC meeting will take place in the new year where people can discuss a bid for new homes for a village.

Woodford-cum-Membris Parish Council will be hosting the meeting at the Memorial Hall, Woodford Halse on Thursday, January 10.

It will discuss an application for 200 homes to be built by developers Gladman Developments in the village just off Byfield Road.

The parish council has said it will not take a position on the proposal until after a public meeting.

Byfield Parish Council has already objected to the plans as it believes it will increase the traffic going through the village.

The meeting starts at 7pm.
