A host of attractions were enjoyed by visitors to an annual village event at the weekend .
The Woodford Halse Country Fair and Classic Car Rally was held to raise money for St Mary’s Church in the village on Saturday. There were hundreds of people who braved the wet weather to turn out for the event, held at The Mill House in West Farndon, just outside the village.
The highlight of the day was an RAF flypast, but there was also a display of Morris dancing, rural crafts and trade stalls and traditional games. Cream teas were served and there were children’s fairground rides as well as a barbecue and a bar.
Visitors were also treated to live music from six different acts who all performed throughout the day. For those interested in engineering or excellent design, there was a display of classic cars from across the region from throughout automobile history.
Proceeds from the day are still being counted and a final total has not been announced.
