Craft fair to save Daventry church

THE Holy Cross Church in Daventry will host a craft fair to raise funds for repairs to its eroding building.

On Saturday October 13 the church hall (next to the church) will open its doors for visitors to browse a range of crafts from fabrics to stone and wooden sculptures from 10am until 4pm.

Entrance to the event is £1 with tea and coffee available in the church. The fee will go towards the Holy Cross building fund which has been set up to save the church from closure.

The congregation aim to raise £100,000 for church repairs after a £200,000 grant from English Heritage.
