Daventry District Council (DDC) has received an award recognising its commitment to strong corporate values.
The council was awarded the Investors in People (IIP) Silver Award.
The silver standard required DDC to meet at least 115 elements of the IIP criteria. DDC met 121 elements, and was praised by judges for its strong corporate culture, particularly the emphasis on placing the customer at the heart of everything it does.
Cllr Liz Griffin, human resources portfolio holder, said: “This council has a strong set of organisational values that outline what we expect from all our employees and what they should be able to expect from their colleagues. We pride ourselves on placing the customer at the heart of everything we do, on our dedication to continuous improvement and excellence, and on our honest and open communication with customers and colleagues at all times.”
